I am an experienced English language translator with over 5 years of expertise. I am open to collaborating with translation bureaus, individuals, and businesses across diverse sectors. My primary objective is to grow my professional skills in software translation and cooperate with the diverse field of IT. As a translator, I utilise Computer-Assisted Translation software to aid in the translation process. This ensures that terminological consistency is maintained across projects of varying sizes and scopes and allows me to create my own glossaries/dictionaries and translation memories (databases), with additional AI support. My primary tools for work include SDL Trados Studio 2022, MemoQ, Memsource, and SDL Passolo. I am also skilled in preparing non-editable documents for translation using OCR (using ABBYY FineReader PDF 15), as well as formatting Office documents – Word, PowerPoint, Excel. I also have an active Adobe Acrobat license. I possess basic knowledge of programming, which means that I am able to translate websites and applications without compromising the integrity of the source code. My academic background includes a degree in applied linguistics. Due to my extensive professional experience in governmental and local administration, I have become highly proficient in translating governmental documentation. My focus is primarily on fulfilling orders for national governmental entities. In addition, I am proficient in translating financial reports, contracts, user manuals for electronic devices, and general translations.
